the city of the depressed

‘This flower, family of the Daffodil, is very self conscious and self preservative. Her stem ends in a bulb filled with fluid and she keeps this water in constant rotation throughout her form. Thus she is able to remain in constant bloom.

She can be found at the borders of dried out pools and puddles.

This flower is often seen as a symbol for ‚longevity’, ‚prosperity’ and ‚endurance’. On the other hand, a cautionary symbol for the self-obsessed.

When found and picked, she is given to a beloved; encouraging recovery from illness or period of depression.
